I have been reading for 2 or so days here with a new to me issue.
Background:
Win 10 Pro x64 machine (Custom Built) originally ran Plex Media Server w/ minimal issues
Moved the HDD w/ all files to a Dell 3020 while 1st machine was being torn down / rebuilt (again minimal issues)
HDD moved BACK to original machine (Now dedicated Plex Server) installed Win 7 x64 and the problems begin…
First Issue:
The server will become unavail. after some time UNLESS the PMS web page is left open.
Second Issue:
.mkv formats are NOW unable to be streamed (Users are using Direct Play via Kodi)
I cannot even watch a .mkv file on the host machine via Plex (works fine in VLC Player)
The kicker, The same file plays fine via direct stream on a Win 10x64 device…
Let me know what you all will need as this issue is very frustrating
