Plex VR for Gear download (not at Oculus/Meta)?

Recently acquired a GearVR headset. The VR is nice(in general) but watching 3D movies on a virtual big screen was an eye-opener.

Got some video players working using either DLNA of local files, but the PlexVR for GearVR would be very nice to use. As Oculus/Meta doesn’t support the GearVR you can’t even “buy” free software anymore.

So PlexVR for GearVR not available at Oculus as stated in https://support.plex.tv/articles/plex-vr-gear-vr/

Would Plex be so kind as to provide access to PlexVR for GearVR download? (Preferably a few (major/older) versions)?

Perhaps, allowed to, donate it to the Internet Archive (Internet Archive: Digital Library of Free & Borrowable Books, Movies, Music & Wayback Machine)?

So support for all Plex VR has ended (Support ending for Google Daydream, Gear VR, Oculus Go apps), but would you be so kind as sharing PlexVR for GearVR?

Or at least give permission for anyone having PlexVR for GearVR, to share this?

Or even communicate this is not going to happen, nor allowed?

If you already had the app installed, it’ll still be available for you to run on the device, but we are not providing installers or anything

Thanks for your response. It’s not really a solution to my problem, but it answers the question :cry: .

Guess I’ll have to hope and wait to see if someone is willing to donate their installed copy of Plex VR for Gear VR to the internet archive…(Internet Archive: APK archive) :slightly_smiling_face:
