Plex was great till it sucked

I used plex for a couple of years and was really behind it, buying a lifetime plex pass because I wanted to support it

But its basically become unusable and doing anything with it turns into a time suck that yields nothing but frustration

I have not had it running for literally months because your tech support was so bad doing what you said totally hosed it running on my computer and no matter what I cant purge it enough to get it to start…

The entire process turned into the TIME SUCK from hell and at a point I was so pissed off I just said screw it, and gave up… and just used kodi to at least access my files.

Having had the new update on the shield it can now run plex server on it instead on my computer (that will no longer run it)…without running out of space on plex in the first 5 min…so woo hoo…like an idiot I order a big ass flash drive.

I get plex server installed and running and after a WHOLE 4 days of using it its nothing but glitch after glitch after glitch…

this can be great software, sadly for me its nothing but a time suck pain in my ass that never seems to get better.

I have my issues with Plex but they nearly all involve interfaces on the clients.

In every case on many clients (Rokus, Fire TV, Raspberry PI, Shield TV and computers) Plex plays fine. My server never restarts and the only time I have had any problem was when I tested the wireless abilities of some clients. The problem was not Plex but rather it was the wireless abilities of my Roku and my Shield in my environment.

My experience is that Plex just works. It’s only real problem is that it looks bad and is hard to use on many players.
