Plex Web Server extremely slow

I’ve been looking everywhere and can’t seem to find anything wrong with my setup to explain why clicking Movies should take upwards of 20 seconds for the page to load with all thumbnails. I’m running plex on:
Intel NUC i7-7567U
WD 5400rpm 320GB HD
Library connected via NFS on gigabit ethernet (no buffering problems at all)

When I’m watching the page load, there’s 0% utilization on my linux plex server, no io-wait, no cpu, nothing. In chrome network tab I can see it just queues on thumbnails for a very long time to my local plex server IP.

I have tried optimizing DB, cleaning bundles, emptying trash, nothing changed. This also greatly affects when I click Edit Movie, the pop-up can take upwards of 10 seconds to appear with all fields, and if I click Movie Posters, that page can take even longer to load.

I’m also a web/software engineer so if there’s a solution out there to use a squid proxy internally for assets etc I’m all ears!

So today I upgraded to 1.12.3.4973 and all of the slowness has vanished! Not sure if it was the plex web server process restarting or whether there was a fix, but now I have amazing performance.

What was fixed in last update

Yeah I’m guessing it’s the web update.

Ok that was about 12 days ago

I didn’t have my server set to Beta channel so I only got notified today. Changed that today as well.
