Plex/web won't find server in 1.15

im having the same issues described here.
OS: Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS
Plex: plexmediaserver_1.15.1.710-ece95b3a1_amd64.deb

Since the upgrade to 1.15.1.710 server keeps disappearing form web (firefox, chrome, IE), windows app.

As I routinely state:

  1. Stop PMS
  2. Manually gather logs
  3. Attach ZIP file
sudo tar cfz /tmp/Logs.tar.gz "/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Logs"

Copy/paste and run it. Logs will be in /tmp and ready to upload here

I have broken us out into your own thread in the Linux topics.

While Synology uses Linux, the configuration is entirely different for Ubuntu.

i have downgraded to 1.14, but now it just hangs. im about the export my watch history as per https://support.plex.tv/articles/201154527-move-viewstate-ratings-from-one-install-to-another/ and reinstall a fresh plex server. will be using the 1.14 deb package

bad domain.

Plex doesn’t recognize it. If PMS doesn’t know about the domain , it will lock out the host / block it.

mm, interesting, let me investigate

when i connect to https://plex:32000/ it worked fine.
for fun i retried https://plex.home:32000/ and now it seems perfectly fine.

however i have re-installed 1.14.

would like to know where you tell plex about the domain
