Server Version#: 1.19.5.3112
Player Version#: 4.40.1
Hello
I´m running a Plex Server on my Synology NAS but i got several problems with Linux Systems as Clients. It doesn´t matter if I´m using my Samsung Smart TV or my One Plus Smartphone even on a Raspberry Pi the upload Speed will not go beyond 1 Mpb/s, on the other hand i have no problems with Windows Clients.
The most common situations where this can happen are:
- The video playback/streaming quality is set to a low quality (e.g. using 1 Mbps max bitrate)
-> check the client settings of those devices; on an Android player you should find it underSettings>Quality>Video Quality
https://support.plex.tv/articles/115002143453-settings-plex-for-android-mobile/ - Bad remote connections that fallback to Plex’ relay server which is limited to 1 Mbps streaming bandwidth (2 Mbps for Plex Pass members).

hey thanks for the fast answear,
i checked the settings on my phone and even in my home LAN with remote Streaming on High there will be not more than 1Mpbs its a endless loading circle. I dont use the Relay function.
In that case… let’s share some more details on your setup.
- What version of Plex Media Server do you have installed (and on what platform)?
- Do you experience this behavior while playing media from your local PMS or e.g. a shared library from somebody else?
- If you’re playing media from your own local PMS… do you experience this behavior while playing from a device inside your home network or remotely?
- What information is showing in the “now playing” tile for that playback on the Plex server dashboard?

also,
Are any firewalls active? (Ubuntu UFW or Synology Firewall)
May I see the DEBUG log files please which you’ve captured after attempting playback?
there is no active Firewall in the NAS implemented
I hope that these are the files you need
Plex Media Server Logs_2020-08-23_15-54-30.zip (430.9 KB)
Did you remove any files from the downloaded ZIP log?
It contains none of the Plex Media Server log files.
yes I did delete it once i thought it would be generate a new one.
Plex Media Server.log (4.2 MB)
perhaps this might be the right one
According to the logs and your screenshot, the Plex clients are using more than 1 Mbps (I can find streaming sessions with 2.3 Mbps, 9.7 Mbps and 42 Mbps).
There’s some transcoding going on but that appears to be due to one of the clients asking for a max h264 level of 4.0 (when the video is 4.1).
The session(s) streaming to your Android device seem to be in “direct stream” mode – no limitations showing
of course the devices with higher traffic are Windows machines
might the problem be the transcoding? I´m using a INTEL Xeon D-1527 in my NAS
this is one of the smartphone dashboards.
