Plex will not Transcode when changing default transcoding location in ubuntu

When ever I change the default transcoding location (running out of space on main drive) my computer will no longer use hardware transcoding. Changing it back to the default location re enables HW transcoding

I’m running plex on ubuntu is anyone else having this issue?

Any help would be appreciated

Where are you trying to change it to?

Do you have server DEBUG logs which capture it failing?

Have you given the directory write permissions for the PMS user?
