There has been a change on how google photos / google drive work
Starting in July, new photos and videos from Drive won’t automatically show in Photos. Similarly, new photos and videos in Photos will not be added to the Photos folder in Drive.
I know there were some solutions using plexdrive, rsync, etc
Are these going to be impacted?
I was about to start trying those…
The real question is why doesn’t Plex just allow one to link to Google Photo albums instead of having to:
Now manually copy your Google Photos to Google Drive using additional drive storage, and then
syncing those Drive photos to your server hard drive using server drive storage. Essentially to use Google Photos with Plex you have to have 3 copies of each photo. Seems a bit ridiculous.

Probably entered some pact with Amazon when they went with Alexa support over Google Assistant.
I’m also looking for a way to view my “Google Photos” in Plex. Is there really nothing that makes this possible?
Is there any workaround?
