Plex has worked great in the past but lately it REFUSES to automatically update when I add new content. Yes, I’ve checked my settings. The box is checked to have it happen. Yes, the folder is accessible from the server. Nothing has changed on that end. Anytime I add something new, I have to remote into my server and run the update library function. Any ideas what else it could be? I’m on the newest version of Plex Media Server.

I would first uncheck the settings that auto-updates libraries then exit PMS then load back up and check the settings back on. Let’s see if that helps your issue.

lol, yeah… It wasn’t my first choice but the other ones were to biased, sexist, racist, cruel, or otherwise mean. That one seemed okay minus the young one part but that’s objective.
I have had that exact issue before many times and I fixed it by rebooting my computer. It seems to creep up after a month or so of my computer being on without a restart.
I am having the same issue. Rebooted the system does not work. It scans the library and only scans a few files and says it is getting information from the internet. No new shows show up.
Ditto for me. I’m having the exact same issue as mtruffa. Any ideas?
Have you looked at your scanner log after hitting scan for files.
I looked at the log and nothing seems out of place. No errors. It looks like it is scanning all directories/files except new ones. It takes a day for new shows to show up.
