Same issue here. Roku 3’s and 4’s. The Plex-loading splash shifts down and the the right and does not load. Both Plex and Roku are Up to Date. This issue was first reported last November. Why isn’t it fixed? ALL other apps are working fine. Just Plex. Very ANNOYING to have to re-boot the Roku almost every time I want to use Plex. Is someone from the Plex team monitoring this forum or what?
Same issue here. Only fix is to reboot Roku TV every time I want to load the Plex app. Please fix!
I’m having a lot of fun trying to explain to “Deer Caught In The Headlights” how to restart their brand new Roku Ultras I talked them into… and also trying to explain why they have to do it - like every 90 minutes.
Well… I’m glad I lived long enough to experience this.
What fun we’re having.
Same here. 2019 TCL 55". Hoping for a fix soon or that this at least gets acknowledged…
I just went through the support menus at ROKU and found that you can chat or send an email to them. I chose email and outlined this issue and sent them a link to this forum. Since I can not find any way to communicate directly to PLEX on this issue and they seem to ignore this forum, I suggest that everyone who has this issue send an email to Roku support. Maybe if they get 10 -20 emails, they might work with PLEX to resolve this.
Hi All. Sorry for the long delays and lack of response. We’ve had issues replicating this behavior, but I believe we found the steps to reproduce and will be working on a fix. I’ll update this thread once we have identified the root cause and have a fix.
We have released an update to the preview channel to fix the issue. This fix will be in the the next official update too.
That’s good because it turns out I lied. Mine’s still doing it too. There was an update that changed the aesthetics a bit and the loading icon and while it does seem to do it less often, it still does it.
The issue affected exiting the channel (pressing home) while viewing the more menu. I’m actually curious if that is how some are always using the Plex channel here?
