Windows 10 have tried regedit removal revo uninstaller etc, still asking for shutdown-msi missing

Probably a new one after i tried to remove all traces of plex in regestry and files and folders

Removed all visual c,
sfc /scannow did not find any faults

Restert did not do anything

Getting frustrated :confused:

Sorry, every trace is removed from regestry, still same issue msi not a valid blahblah

Hi again removed all traces of plex again and checked files downloaded with Hastab, it is all fine

Weird stuff. Never seen a installer behave like this

now i removed all traces of microsoft visual c (uninstalled) then delete all reg keys.

Meybe now my system goes to hell next restart :slight_smile:

Do you have any anti-virus or malware/etc monitoring programs running?
I only ask because the message you are receiving may also include running said MSI and returning an exit code.

Now I only get The older version of stopping plex cannot be removed

Tried installing old version from http://www.filehorse.com/download-plex-media-server/29449/download/

It WORX!!

I still cant upgrade to lastet version though without getting error

Something is ffed up in the latest plex versions both normal and plex pass downloads

Have you tried version 1.6.1? Besides I think 1.5.3xxx sucks anyways. There is also v1.7.x out now.
