Change Aspect Ratio.
This feature is seen on many other players and forces me to use them for certain videos. If Plex could do that, I wouldn’t need to switch because otherwise the Plex Player satisfies all my needs
Hi everyone.
I want to ask about some cool features that will make Plex on Xbox One even better.
- Please make an option to zoom picture. Some movies are 16:9 and fit perfect to my 16:9 TV, but some movies have 21:9 ratio and I see black stripes at the top and bottom. When I used Kodi I had an option to zoom picture. In this case picture becomes a bit cut on the sides but fullscreen that is more important.
- Automatic refresh of library doesn’t work on my server (I don’t know why). I download movies on my server and then turn my Xbox to watch it but there are no movies because library haven’t been refreshed. So I need to turn on my notebook and refresh library. It will be a great feature if I will have an option to refresh library from Xbox PLEX client. BTW Kodi also have such opportunity.
- I use Plex on Xbox with special Xbox One remote from Microsoft. It have volume buttons but they don’t work in Plex. I also use an amplifier for stereo that haven’t remote control, so if I want to adjust volume I should go to my amp and adjust volume manually that is very inconvenient.
- When I scroll “recently added movies” list, open info about some movie and then press “back” on my Xbox remote I see beginning of the list and I want to see the exact movie that I choose before (it can be in the end of the list). Hope you understand that I mean.
- Also it will be great to fix buffering issue, because I use ethernet connection and actually in every movie I have buffering pause that is strange for me. My router is Apple Extreme that is one of the best.
Hope you will add all this features ASAP. It will make Plex on Xbox perfect client for movies at home. Waiting for your response

This. I’ve asked about it before but didn’t get a reply.
I miss the way you could, in the old XB app, (and can in the Smart TV app) click on one of your newly added films for example and then press the < or > arrows that were in the top right to cycle though them rather than the current way which requires about ten more button presses to achieve the same result.

And still no FF fix, c’mon guys it’s been 6 months!
Lack of HDR and ATMOS issues are seriously having me consider alternatives.
Would like the function for subtitles are automatically on for a certain series or if you have put subtitles on the next episode that auto plays will auto-apply subtitles and flow through

Yea same here.
Pathetic response from Plex team. Xbox one x but cannot play anything 4K without major editing or remuxing. They appear happy to milk the cow endlessly for new features that no one asked for or want but unable or unwilling to do the hard yards for stuff people want. The attitude really does appear to be ‘we’ve had your money so if you don’t like it, piss off’. Going to buy an Oppo and hopefully as 4K becomes mainstream but Plex bury their heads they will fade away counting their cash.
Yea even a '“HDR and Atmos is coming in a few weeks” would be great to hear.

Thanks for fixing hub list items that were wrongly diplayed when more than 47 items available by limiting view with link.
Thanks for scaling down 2 row display in Films and Programmes for 3%, so second row text isnt cut off.
Thanks for correctly managing focus in top navigation row when going through items too fast towards settings and then back left.
HDR and Atmos soon. Not in 2020.

Can you please turn on keyboard shortcuts when a USB keyboard is plugged into the xbox one x? Basic commands work but I really miss the subtitles toggle. I often turn subtitles on during dialogue and off during action scenes, which is currently a very disruptive and clunky process involving a sequence of like 12 button presses as well as pausing playback. It would also be useful if you added the subtitles toggle to the controller button mapping as well, perhaps as the Y button or one of the analog stick clicks. I also strongly support all the previous requests for a useful visual ff/rw feature, either in the previous format where each successive press of the button increases the speed, or, like many streaming apps today (Netflix, HBO go, etc.), in the form of thumbnails. Lastly, I would very much appreciate the ability to change the aspect ratio/zoom of the stream, both in the xbox app and in the Android mobile app (especially for 3d SBS files). Thanks!
- Please fixt the S-3017 error (Sample Attached). This error occurs at least once per day for me when playing music playlists. It is seemly random, meaning not associated with any specific MP3 file. When the error occurs nothing will play and I have to quit and restart the Plex app.
- On the main menu, change the library select to a navigate-to and click process. The current Navigate-to, hover, and auto-display is very annoying since it does not follow user intent and impedes performance.
- Put recent playlists on the main-home page. Having to navigate to music, find the playlist section, and select a playlist is annoying.
Thanks for all of the other great features that have been added recently.

Still waiting, it’s not even a new feature, just wanting something to be returned
