Is grid view likely to be release in the near future for Xbox One? I understand you canā€™t give an exact timeline but it has been out for a few months now on ATV and would be great to be able to use it

Porting the Xbox One app to UWP is my #1 feature request.

The Windows Store app hasnā€™t been touched in well over a year and is broken in multiple ways. At the same time, you have an app that is probably very nearly portable to UWP and able to run across multiple device types as well. With support for Xbox 360 dropped, having a single codebase for Windows and Xbox not only makes sense, it allows you to declare support for Hololens et al. as well!

Of course, this would likely require implementing sync in the UWP version, to maintain feature parity with the (otherwise fairly broken) Store app.

Proper direct stream support for HD audio formats (TrueHD, DTS-HD MA, FLAC, Apple Lossless) and subtitles.

I can pop in a Blu-Ray with PGS subtitles and a DTS-HD MA soundtrack and watch it just fine on the Xbox. If I use Plex to playback a dump of the same exact disc, now my desktop is making an AAC soundtrack and burning the subtitles inā€¦

Similarly, Groove Music in its dismal state can handle Apple Lossless and FLAC from my OneDrive just fine, but Plex wants to send AAC audio to my Xbox One.

If we canā€™t get bitstreaming for audio, can we at the very least get the output channels to change automatically? IE. If Iā€™m watching something with a 2.0 Dolby Surround soundtrack, my Xbox stays in the 7.1 output mode itā€™s set to for games and everything else, and my AVR will not let me use a matrix decoder due to the 5.1 channels of silence that are being output.
