First off, thanks to everyone involved in the Plexamp development project, I’m so happy to see new updates for this program that I’ve been using for so long. So many people have switched to spotify or some other streaming service, but for the rest of us who actually like to OWN the music on OUR hard drives, this is a big big thank you for not leaving us in the dust (those streamers don’t know what they’re missing out on for sweet fades).
Anyway, I’d like to throw two suggestion.
I know that you can shuffle a regular album by going to the album’s landing page by searching it, but the shuffle / repeat buttons seem to be completely missing after the album starts to play. Is it possible to add those back in?
Secondly
The ability to resize the entire program to whatever we like is great, but I have to say, I really loved the design in the first plexamp, by which I mean the album art was front and center, with playback controls, progress bar, ratings and codec info showing up as you hovered over the album cover.
I see that you can resize the window down to JUST the album art, but there is much left out when you hover over it. You only get back, pause/play and forward. No ratings or anything else.
It would be awesome to see an ‘old school’ setting to skin plexamp to be more like it’s first iteration; basically what I’m asking for is the old style as an option and I kinda understand that the free-form resizing would make the album art all wonky and smushed, but I’d even settle to have the free-form resizing locked if we had an old school Plexamp skin, but at least let us scale diagonally for as big as we want. The largest option in old plexamp was too small for a 1440p monitor.
It would be really cool to have that option. If it isn’t possible, I will adapt. BUT, the biggest draw and what made Plexamp so damn sexy in my opinion was the album art being the showcase.
