Plexamp pauses every 4 seconds

It will pause every 4 seconds and I can’t figure out why. I used to be able to uninstall it and it would fix for a short time, but now nothing helps.
I can run plex and there are no pauses ever. I have made sure there are no notifications coming in. Doesn’t matter if it’s streamed or local or even from tidal.
I have a galaxy S20 completely updated with the latest plexamp from June 25. Any tips on getting it to work? I love the app.

Can you post a log (settings > advanced > debugging)?

Also try settings > advanced > audio interface and see if changing this helps.

Here are logs. Changing the audio settings didn’t help. Thanks for looking at the problem. 99562524346185.zip (52.5 KB)

There’s nothing obviously wrong in your logs

I have to admit, I’m a bit befuddled. So the audio pauses every few seconds and then keeps playing, does the player always show it playing? Is the interface responsive during this time?

Are you positive switching to AAudio doesn’t make a difference? (Might need to force quit and restart the app to make sure it takes effect)

The Play/Pause button does toggle as I watch it. The interface is responsive to other input. And it’s consistent every 4 seconds.
I will try the hard close and AAudio and let you know. Thanks!

I restarted the phone to make sure it is set to AAudio. It will now replay the same 4 seconds continually. It plays for 4 seconds then returns and plays the same 4 seconds over and over. Also there is no sound. I forced closed a couple more times and now it’s working correctly.

do you have a phone with stock software?

i’ve just never really heard of this sort of issue

if it loops the first 5 seconds w/o audio that implies a pretty tragic failure to play as far as I know, would like to see a log of that (play something, let it loop for 10 seconds, and then send logs).
