Plexamp 3+ on linux: steal my keybd shortcuts will ya

OS: Ubuntu 18.04 Plexamp 3.0.1.

I use control-alt-up/down arrows to flip virtual screens, up, down, up, down etc.
Depending on what I’m working on. Recently I notice sometimes these hotkeys don’t work, as I shrug it off and use a workaround I know.

Eventually I notice that Plexamp volume is very much quieter than any of the other audio on my desktop, e.g. a web page with audio content is just blasting way louder than the playing music… etc.

Try to figure out what in hell is Plexamp doing with its audio, playing with all its funny settings and stuff and getting nowhere. It’s not an OS issue I know that much.

Finally the light dawns that control-alt-arrow up/down is the VOLUME KEYS for Plexamp! Who Knew! That’s why my shortcuts were not working sometimes, whoa hold on now. At least I’m not bored.

LOL funniest story I’ve got for the day, be careful out there folks.

THANKS plex team for fixing this, someone listened and this issue seems gone with 3.0.3. My window manager (control-alt) hot keys no longer function as plexamp volume control.

I think it was the recent update which did the trick, though I must say it’s pretty sneaky the way it updates itself without my foreknowledge.
