I could not find anything about it, but for the last ten days or so, the covers are no longer shown on the player screen.
I cannot tell if this is an AA problem as similar apps work as expected.

As far as I can tell your album art has gone missing, and Plexamp is displaying whatever it had cached, but Android Auto is trying to download a non-cached higher res version:

From what I can see the album art is regularly displayed in Plex server and Plexamp so is this an Android Auto related issue?
There is caching involved, so just because it displays doesn’t mean the album art is valid and associated with an item on the server. Double check those albums have artwork.
Sorry but other than checking that the album art is correctly associated on the server I don’t know what to do.
Hmmm, that is actually really weird, upon closer inspection the app is requesting negative sizes for the artwork.
Android Auto must have changed something, I’ll have a look!

We’ve added a defensive check for badly behaved Android Auto implementations in the next release which should resolve this.
