Plexamp Always Shuffles on Play

Server Version#: 1.24.2.4973 (Ubuntu Linux)
Player Version#: 3.7.0 (Plexamp for Android)
Android Phone: Google Pixel 4a
Android Version#: 11
Android Build#: RQ3A.210805.001.A1

Is it the default behavior to shuffle everything? I wouldn’t hope so. Here’s what I’m experiencing on Plexamp for Android, on downloaded content (and when downloaded content is selected/preferred over network streamed) :

Select an album → Select the big Play button next to shuffle → Shuffled album starts playing (not expected; expected is the first track, and un-shuffled album listing added to the queue) Selecting the shuffle icon next to the queue icon on the now playing screen, un-shuffles the album in the queue.

Select an album → Select the first track → First track is added to queue → Shuffle is enabled and only the next randomized track is in the queue (not expected; expected is either only that track and no queue, or that track and an un-shuffled album added to the queue) This also happens for other tracks on the album, not just the first. Selecting the shuffle icon next to the queue icon on the now playing screen, un-shuffles the album in the queue.

Select an album → Select the Shuffle icon next to the big Play button → A random track from the album is selected and the rest of the album is added to the queue, shuffled (expected)

I came here to report this, too. I’ve found that this problem applies only when playing an album from downloads. It seems to work fine for “normal” stuff playing from the server. But when I choose it from the list of downloads, it absolutely insists on shuffling.

This is a known bug in 3.7.0 to be fixed shortly in 3.7.1, which I believe should be available soon

Woot! Awesome thank you for the update!

Adding one more behavior I don’t see recorded above: if you select any individual track (not just when searching by specific artist or album) it shuffles whatever you’re in. For example, if you go to Home->Recent Playlists->All Music->click the first track, it won’t actually play that track but grabs a random track from the list of all music (thousands of songs).

Good to hear the bug is known and a fix should be coming shortly! I hope the behavior above is corrected as part of it
