Plexamp and Plex Dash for Fire (Tablets)

It would really be great beeing able to install Plexamp and Plex Dash on some of my (unused) Tablets (Nexus 7, Fire HD 7, Fire HD 8.9).

They would make a quite nice admin console or living room audio player.

However in Play Store the apps are not avaiable for (my) Tablets. And are there plans for releasing those apps also in the Amazon Appstore?

they should work on tablets, but I don’t know about fire devices, I don’t think they are supported (different app store).

nexus 7 might be too old, need a fairly recent android version, not sure what the minimum is.

One of my old android tablets could not see them, but another could (on newer android).

Ah Android version may be the culprit. That would be a bummer however. :frowning:

EDIT: Android 6.0 or higher. Thats ok, but too high indeed for my legacy devices.

According to the Play Store, required Android version is 6.0 and up

I’ve the Google Play store on my FireHD 10 (many places online w/ instructions how to do this).

It says Plex Dash is “not supported on your device.”

It would be great to have Plex Dash work on the Fire tablets. They’re inexpensive compared to Amazon / Apple tablets and work great for monitoring/controlling AV gear (Tautulli via web, Denon app to control my AVR, etc).

Alright, I bit the bullet and flashed my Nexus 7 2012 with LineageOS 14.1 (Android 7.1.2).

Could now install Plexamp and Plex Dash. Working good so far, but Plex Dash does not rotate to landscape unfortunately, but there are ways…

I would also like plexamp and dash on my tablet.
