Didn’t see a recent post on this. I’ve got an artist with over 200 albums (live recordings), and I notice I’m only able to see the first 200. I need to search for the remaining ones to access them.
Any plans to increase the maximum number of results returned for this use case?
Is there an ETA for when this might be fixed? I’ve been tolerating it for a long time (probably over a year) but to be honest this seems more like a bug than a feature request. I run into this limit in all Plex apps that I have used (Android, Roku, and Plexamp)
Sorry @elan, I realized after I posted this I was in a PlexAmp thread. I’m all updated there…
Still, I’m having the same issue… large libraries (Grateful Dead, for example) do not show in their entirety in PlexAmp, and inexplicably don’t use the metadata I’ve encoded to them.
Curious where you are seeing the metadata issues. I have a pretty extensive GD/Phish collection here and although the metadata is a bit different, probably close. Happy to help test some of these niche cases since I know there are a handful of us all working towards the same result with very similar datasets.
I know plexamp sometimes only shows the top 3 or so albums in a search and i forget to click the “albums” heading to view the others but it seems to work for me
For me, It’s particularly with the 30 Trips Box collection and the Spring 1990 Box Sets
As I look at this further, I’m seeing that Plex is lumping albums together in a way makes the overall “album count” seem smaller. In the attached example, It’s showing this record as comprised as 3 discs with no detail about the show. I do not have "part of a compilation checked in my metadata.
Unfortunately I am not going to be much help, which I only come back into the thread to note because I suggested I have a similar setup and don’t want to seem like i’m offering help then disappearing when the excitement starts.
I am a bit OCD about how I store live Dead, even if it’s a commercial release/Dick’s Picks/30 Trips I have the shows broken out by show YYYY-MM-DD, so unfortunately have not been in a position to encounter this issue
