It would be really nice to have a button at the top of the Library - Artists for ALL ARTISTS instead of just the alphabetical letters. Sometimes, I really would like to scroll through all of my artists and it becomes very annoying when I have to click into a letter scroll around and then back out of to go to a different letter of the alphabet.
This is a restriction in Carplay.
They don’t allow long lists (distraction for the driver).
So this workaround had to be implemented.
and apple doesn’t provide a way for us to make the alphabet jump lists they use in their own app, unfortunately.
Not so sure about this…when the vehicle isn’t moving I am able to scroll through long lists in PlexAmp. While the vehicle is moving you can only scroll through the first 12 items (artists, albums, tracks, etc…).
So…it should be possible to have an all artist button at the top of the list. When clicked AND while the vehicle is in motion you would only be able to see the first 12 artists. When clicked AND while the vehicle is stopped, you would. be able to scroll though a complete list if artists. Currently you have to click on “A”, scroll, click back, then click on “B”, scroll, click back, then click on “C”, scroll…and so on and so on. Just really would be like to be able to have a list of all artists that I can scroll through when the vehicle is not moving.
IF the Apple native alphabet jump list was used that would be GREAT. Unfortunately the method PlexAmp uses is VERY cumbersome if I want to simply view all of the artists in my library. See reply to previous post above.
I literally have to click on “A” scroll through the artists starting with “A”. Click the back button. Select another letter, “S” for example. Scroll though the artists starting with “S”. Click the back button…etc…etc…etc…
I simply would like t way to view ALL artists int my library without having to view one letter at a time.
We don’t have access to that.
