Plexamp controller in notification tray unresponsive after pausing a song (Android)

I downloaded the latest update of Plexamp yesterday on my Pixel 6 Pro. I am running the latest Android 13 security patch.

I noted that the controller in the notification tray will pause a song, but when I try to play it again, skip, or go back a song, it will not respond to any button interaction. I have to go to the app itself to start playback again.

Thanks for the report. Pressing pause then play is working for me on Android 13, is there something else happening between the click actions?

Actually, I can reproduce this if I wait some time between pressing pause then play, will fix :+1:

Nice, I’m not alone! Yeah, I noticed it when I was pausing to watch a video in another app and trying to play music again. Should’ve mentioned the time thing.

I have possibly the same issue. Since the last update any time I am listening to music and an alarm goes off or I receive a phone call the music will not resume playing afterwards and unable to restart playing from the notification. Only going into the app will allow it to play again.

edit: 4.5.1 did not fix the issue for me, I’ve had to go back to 4.4.0 where it works as expected.

4.5.2 should resolve this issue.

Sweet, thanks for updating! Have you pushed to the Play Store already?

Yes it’s rolling out at the moment

Great. Thanks for the fix, 4.5.2 works as expected!
