After having given up since a long time on using the Android Plex App (so buggy all the time since years…), I have been happy to discover PlexAmp avalaible on Android allowing me perhaps to be able to listen my Plex music properly on my mobile Hifi audio player (DX-200 iBasso). Unhappy it looks it uses same system to render cover art/animation on soundtracks and so crash in same way as the Plex app when playing a music track. Most boring is that when you reopen PlexAmp, as it comes back at previous states, it crashes in loop which is damn boring.
I don’t expect any fix as in all matters all bug reports I did previously on Android app when I was a beta-tester were never considered by Plex, but at least we can get a common thread for all users encountering same problem 
Player: iBasso DX-200 running Android 8.1.0
PlexAmp 3.1.1 but present since first release of PlexAmp on Android
Present also in Plex app since few years already when playing music and toggling between defaut cover art or display animation (just clicking the cover art while a track is playing).
