App is crashing (after starting playback) after V4.0 update on Samsung S7 with Android 8.0.
I would appreciate some help with this.
Heard of this same issue with other users of older Android phones, try switch the audio engine from AAudio to OpenSL

Yup. That was it. Thank you. I didn’t think of that. Didn’t notice the audio engine was switched. But so far it looks like its working again. Thanks for being so quick.
We’ll switch the default back for older Android versions.
