Hi , how came such a basic function doesn’t exist yet in the play screen, so while you listen a mp3 and if you decide is not good enough to just delete it there on the spot ?
It is more for mobile devices in IOS

because Plexamp is about listening to music, not obsessing over it.
This is not the answer that I hopped for , same thing basic like this kind control doesn’t meant “obsessing over it” , for sure
Consider this:
Here is a strategy which allows you to achieve the same goal, with a safety net:
Assign a low “star rating” during playback. It’s right there, on the player screen.
Low rated tracks are less likely to appear in automatically created radios. And you can use the rating in your own smart playlists to exclude low-rated tracks.
If you are hell-bent on deleting tracks you don’t like, you can from time to time filter the whole library by track ratings and remove those tracks in one fell swoop. (using the web app, which provides a better-suited user interface for administrative tasks)
I rarely do that (in fact, I believe I did it only once) but a workaround is to open the normal Plex app on your phone, and delete the track on there. But yeah I believe it’s a niche feature.
thank you all for your replies
in my opinion for ergonomics and speed this function should exist , accidental deletes can be prevented through an popup confirmation if the risk is considered to be to big for accidental delete
Really? Is this a professional answer? You never made a mistake or changed taste in your life?
Plenty of times. But I never felt compelling to pull myself out of the experience to go manage media, I just rate it low, or at worst take a screenshot to remind me to deal with it later.
+1
One of the first features I missed after downloading after plexamp was the missing “delete” button.
The delete possibiltiy exists, but one has to navigate to the album artist. Why making it so complicated? Agree that the “Do you really want to delete” popup could prevent accidental deletes.
Because it’s a minority use case which would just clutter up the menu.
The delete entry exists in the other menu and there its not a problem.
If you have a song that has a corruption and you want to delete it, it‘s super tedious. That you can actually edit/delete your songs is a forte of plexamp, where it wins against - for example navidrome.
What can we do to convince you to grant us that submenu?
It’s not a matter of convincing me per se vs it being something a lot of our users want vs a niche request.
