PlexAmp Distortion Over Android Auto

I’ve figured out that clearing the cache fixes it, but I’ve been using PlexAmp for years and just recently I thought I had blown speakers in my 2023 F150. Even took it into the dealer. All other audio sources that I never use sound great. It’s nasty distortion and happens when the cache hits 700 mb or so. Usually driving when it happens so I don’t know exactly, it’s sounded great for years this just started a couple months ago.

I’ve replaced my amp because of a distortion problem. Fortunately my last amp wasn’t expensive or special. The distortion persisted. I tried other speakers, they were distorted as well. After seeing this post I first tried a different player, my Yamaha musiccast app, and the distortion was gone. So I tried clearing the cache of this app and it seems to have cleared the problem as well.

I’m using a Samsung S22 with an external FiiO dac to an analogue input to a WiiM Vibe amp. I’m playing ALAC 44.1/16 content from a NAS on my local network.
