Plexamp is static/crackling on galaxy s10+. Really frustrating. Makes it unusable. Same files on other apps are fine. Seems worse on bluetooth than wired. I have tried the troubleshooting to move to SD card and turn off battery optimization and sound effects. No luck.
I’m experiencing a similar issue: a static/distortion on some, but not all tracks - including Tidal. Almost like a dirty needle on a record player. I’m trying to suss out some sort of pattern regarding which tracks are effected, but the fact that Tidal tracks are included indicates that its not due to my setup. It also happens on WiFi on a local network, where no transcoding should be occurring. I use a Note 8 for playback and an Nvidia shield server.
Possibly try switching to AAudio (settings > advanced > audio interface)?
At the time that had no effect, however I thought I should probably say that the sound has been fine recently. IDK, perhaps just one of those self-fixing bugs?
As an aside, AAudio just sounds awful.
