Plexamp does not work well with Plex for Android TV

Hi all. Recently downloaded Plexamp after being unsatisfied with it last year. It still has same issues that make it unusable for me.

I like to play music through the Plex app on my Android TV media box. I connect my Android phone to the Plex app on Android TV using the “Plex for Android (TV)” option. I then use my phone as a remote.

This works well enough using the Plex app on my phone, but when I try do this with Plexamp it doesn’t work well (or not at all). The music stops and starts, sometimes it stops the music or kicks me out of an album or song on the app on Android TV. The seekbar on Plexamp also does not follow the position of the song that is playing on the TV, and it will jump around back and forth between song times. Plexamp also becomes unresponsive and crashes.

Is this a known issue where Plexamp does not play nicely with Plex on Android TV?

I do not want to use Chromecast (that works well), I prefer streaming my music directly from the server on to the Plex app on Android TV.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
