Plexamp - fails to launch properly - IOS 10.10.5

Installed plexamp and when I launch it - I see a brown box that shows recently added info only. When I use the search and try to play something - it constantly crashes (and fills up the console logs.

Here’s what it “looks like” is happening(from the console log):

  1. AMFI: There is a null code directory pointer. This is an unexpected condition.
  2. kernel: proc 893: load code signature error 4 for file “mpd”
  3. com.apple.xpc.launchd: (com.apple.ReportCrash[894]) Endpoint has been activated through legacy launch(3) APIs. Please switch to XPC or bootstrap_check_in(): com.apple.ReportCrash
  4. com.apple.xpc.launchd: (tv.plex.plexamp.155948[818]) Service exited due to signal: Killed: 9
  5. ReportCrash: Saved crasp report for mpd[893] version 0 to . . .
  6. ReportCrash: Removing excessive log:

The above repeats every 4 or 5 seconds.

Steps to replicate:

  1. download Plexamp-1.0.0.dmg file and double click on it
  2. Slide plexamp onto “applications”
  3. Launch plexamp by double-clicking plexamp icon in application directory

Note: Rebooting after install does not have any effect.

Noted, it might be something specific with the code signing we’re doing on 10.11. Will need more investigation.
