To prevent cryptomalware, I run as a limited-privilege local user on my computer, and I block all .exe files from running from %appdata% and %localappdata% - only .exes in program files, which require me to elevate to my admin account to install them properly, are allowed to run.
I’d love to try Plexamp, but you’re not giving me any installation options. There is a sad and ongoing rush these days to install everything into %appdata% folders instead - just like cryptomalware! Awesome!
Please Plex Labs, give us an installer option that allows configuration of the installer to point to Program Files instead of just trying to immediately write to %appdata% and then failing
