I love Plexamp and now with casting/Plex Companion is possible I suggest a setting or cmd option like Android intent that opens Plexamp in predetermined players (if it is online) Plex Companion view showing what is playing on that device and enabling control.
My scenario is that I have bunch of wallmounted tablets (Android) and homeautomation Smartthings. Currently I can launch automatically Plexamp on all my wallmounted tablets when my headless pi 4 plexamp starts palying music.
What would be cool if they (automatically via homeautomation launched plexamps in the tablets) would either via Android cmd-line (Intent) or by player settings (in the tablets) connect by default to the headless plexamp (or other user defined player) if it is online and\or status shows it’s playing.
So Plexamp would open directly by users choice to the Companion controlled players controls/queue/albumart/lyrics etc.
Other things that would be cool: Intent or REST-call to connect to the headless-unit (or other selected player) and start to play user defined radio/random radio/mood/Playlist etc.
This could be made with intent or webrequest (REST, etc)?
And finally bit-perfect dsd,mqa, flac passthrough like for example Volumio does.
All these codecs including mqa light-up when my usb-dac Pro-ject pre box s2 digital is connected via usb to pi4 running volumio. I understand this is complex but hey you guys done great allready!
