I’m not sure I understand your suggestion.
Do you want Plexamp to be used as default music player for any song you try to open from your Android device?
Plexamp highly depends on music from a Plex server, which will provide the necessary information for a lot of Plexamp‘s features. Plexamp isn’t so much a player for „unrelated songs“.
But maybe I’ve completely missed your point.

Plexamp cannot be used as your device’s default audio player.
Only apps which can play locally stored audio files can be the default player.
Plexamp cannot (and won’t) do that, so it won’t be default player.
