Just a small enhancement…
I’d love to be able to view from which Record Labels I have the most albums.
And this would be great for Moods, Genres and Styles too.
A sort for this would be great. Thanks.

Hi @elan one additional question. How does Plexamp know how to display the number of albums in a genre/style/mood? Since it is able to show the numberof albums in a G/S/M wouldn’t it then also be possible to sort the list based on this number? I realize that this is not be possible for Record labels but for Moods/Genres/Styles I would think this could be possible? Is this a correct assumption?

it makes an additional request behind the scenes for each one on the fly as they’re displayed, so not a basis for sorting.

It would be nice to be able to search for record labels or to jump to a letter of the alphabet. Scrolling past 1000 labels to get to Warp Records on my phone is no fun

it would be something we’d need to add on the server side; tbh i’m not quite sure i see the use personally, but i realize it’s a very personal thing how much the labels matter.
Yes, fair enough, thanks. It’s not a top thing for me either if needs a bunch of work, just a “would be nice”.
For what it’s worth, my true #1 feature would be better support for browsing and listening to full albums, e.g. shuffle albums rather than shuffle tracks in a playlist.
I’ve also thought it would be neat to be able to “save” my position in a playlist, so I can listen to some other stuff for a while, but return to the same spot later.

I believe many who listen to music released on smaller labels and groups follow labels as much as individual artists. At least I do :), and would highly appreciate improved browsing by label.
