Plexamp feature request

I use Plexamp a lot and loving it every minute of it. l have colossal music library of all kinds of different music types and it make a good job of it creating mixes.
Good job so far, hats off to you folks.

I would like the following improvements when you get a chance,

  • Showdown button - Currently we need to terminate it on the taskbar
  • Volume slider visible on the default startup.
  • My music divided into multiple libraries. Once you create collection and playlist stay with that library. it should be global and Plexamp should switch automatically. I have to create a redundant play list for APE, FLAC, FLAC 24 Bit and MP3 libs. Often same album exit in multiple formats.
  • Bitrate and Codec and file type should be displayable especially Plexamp on Windows or Mac.
  • When ASIO on USB is available the original bitrate should be used and leave to DAC to do the conversion/enhancement.
  • Why i can not push to another network player such as California Labs?
  • Library in use and the output device in use should be visible and modifiable on the main screen all the time
  • Loudness, and clipping control working excellently however there is no volume levelling setting. This is more of problem volume levels of different for different materials (tidal and my library is one)
  • Make it easy to create and edit play list using Plexamp. Auto record to playlist when 'library radio is selected. This playlist optionally should be able to saved for future playback or sharing.
  • For large libraries, music type selection should be present (ex: I should be able to say play “blues only” or mixture of genres when a library radio or library mode is selected).

I am sure you have a myriad of suggestions on your plate but, here are they, added on the list and hope to see them on V5 or V6,

I changed this to default on for desktop, it’s a good suggestion.

This is not how we recommend organizing music; we recommend only having lossless and letting it convert if needed.

It’s displayed in the player and with each album; we think this is enough.

We’ll look to support WASAPI in the future, and possibly ASIO.

Because we don’t support DLNA or whatever proprietary system it uses?

We show the library in use on the home screen; we don’t think the output device is that interesting to show it all the time.

Yes, there is, Loudness Leveling; it’s enabled by default.

You can already create and edit playlists.

You can already save your play queue as a playlist.

You can already do this with style/genre radio, and/or your own custom smart playlist.

Thanx for your reply Elan, If you have further questions please let me know,
