I have the latest server for Ubuntu running and latest iOS app, sonic analysis is active and complete yet I don’t see the Guest DJ feature in the player section. What am I missing?
Is your music library using the “Plex Music” agent and scanner? (Required)
Do you have disabled “Popular Tracks”? (Don’t)
Make sure that your own local music library has been selected as Source in the preferences of Plexamp (and not one from a shared server or Tidal)
Did you add Tidal content to your local library?
(you can verify with the “Track Source” Advanced filter)
I don’t have a Tidal sub anymore. Is also don’t see a Track Source filter.
Please use the above mentioned filter and check anyway.
And what am I looking for exactly ?
Tracks where the source is Tidal, of course.
Looks like there was one album, why would they hang around when I no longer subscribe that should be cleaned up and removed surely?

No. Some people just let their Tidal sub lapse and resubscribe later. They’d sure be upset if their manually added tracks got removed automatically.
Plex cannot know whether you’ve unsubscribed for good or not.
Let one server maintenance pass. i.e. one night
Or “Switch User” on your Plexamp instance.
What is your Plexamp version umber?
Ok I stared PlexAmp again and played a new track and now it shows up.
Thanks. But this stuff should be documented somewhere as I am sure others will fall into same trap I could not find anything documented on this feature.
Guest DJ should show up and work fine even if there are tidal albums added. It’s more likely you needed to restart the app so it would realize the server was a new enough version.
It’s been on a version that added Guest DJ since it was released and no settings had been changed., just first time I had properly tried the feature so some thing is wrong with it and Tidal . All of which have been restarted many times.
I just double and triple checked, the only requirement to show the button is a new enough server and not playing offline content.
Well I had the new enough server already running and the latest iOS app and it didn’t show until I removed that Tidal Album. nothing was updated today so most strange. And I was playing my own rips.
