okay guys, going to need your help here and I am going to try to help with as much info as I can.
The title says it all, The Guest DJ icon that one would normally find at the bottom left of the plex amp is no longer showing up for me. It used to be their cause I remember seeing it and using it and now it is gone.
is sonic analysis check in my library? See pic below
Am I sure my whole library has been finished up by now? (my music library is pretty small compared to like everyone and I am running plex on a thread ripper so yea)
Settings - [server] - Library - “Analyze audio tracks for sonic features”
Ensure it is not disabled.

“Popular Tracks” must be activated. It is used by many DJs and Radios.
P.S. You should disable “store track progress”. This is for podcasts and audio books, but not for regular music albums.

I actually like the store track progress. I use plexamp through my bluetooth in the car and I like that the music resumes from where it was left when I turned off the car. But thank you for the extra info on why that option is actually their and it function. Also thank you for the reply.

Also just to try to be as thorough as possible since you mention it is a premium picture here is a picture of my plex account showing my lifetime plex pass
That will happen with the setting off as well, the play queue and position of the track is maintained. The issue with Store Track Progress for music is that it can remember a time near the end of the track, and so track will appear to play the last second or so before skipping.
The issue is that you have the long form player setting enabled, as well as Store Track Progress. This is just not correct for music. Turn off Store Track Progress and you’ll get a player back which has the DJ button!
Thanks again for the reply. I’ll give that a try and report back. I’ll turn off the setting and give it a few days. Not sure how fast things are going to update with track progress turned off and the guest dj icon to appear in my player.
So I turned off the track progress and the dj icon did not show up. I even tried restarted the app. Didn’t work. Restarted my phone, no go. I re-read again on what you posted and decided let’s just turn off long-form controls. Soon as I did that in conjuction with turning off track progress, guest dj icon showed up.
I went back and turn on long form control. I took pictures of the player with it on and off and could not tell the difference.
So what I am asking for here is a bit of education if possible? What is the difference? Why even have it, if the players look exaclty the same? How were you able to know I had long form control on without me showing all my settings?
The main different is the seek bar is set up for super long tracks, and allows for precise seeking. In addition it has smart silence elimination and voice boost.
