I’m listening to one of my big genre-based smart playlists through the new RPI beta (3) and I’m noticing that every once in a while as I’m looking at the plexamp GUI on my mac that it looks like at the end of a given song, plexamp is rapidly skipping through 1 or more tracks before settling in to play a next track.
I also noticed this happen one time yesterday when listening to an album (and not a playlist) where it was much more noticeable.
Mostly it has seemed to me like it was just skipping 1 track, but just now I happened to be watching and it looked like it rapidly shuffled past a handful of album art covers before continuing to play. I quickly paused playback and used the back button in the GUI to go back to the skipped tracks and there were 5 tracks all suddenly skipped.
I then stopped the service, and started trawling through logs. There is a lot of context clipped out but here is what I found in the log that seemed relevant.
cat .cache/Plexamp/log/Plexamp.log |grep "already played"
May 08, 2022 15:43:41.001 [Javascript] DEBUG - PlayQueue: Removing already played track: 78391

I’m not sure how it’s determining what is “already played” or how far back it’s looking to determine if a track has been “already played”, but I am sure that the tracks it skipped were not ones i am aware of having listened to very recently.
