I am using Plexamp on my computer, Windows 10 OS.
I have been noticing that randomly, while i am listening to music (and doing other things on the PC), Plexamp goes to next track by itself.
I could not find a pattern to the problem; i have not modified hotkeys for none of the softwares that i am using, i really have no ideea how to tshoot it.
I am adding the logs for an example of such a situation.

Upgrade to v4.12.1 and it should resolve the issue.
Yes, i am running that version already, Can’t upgrade it further.
the logs shows you’re running the previous version.
Well if i go to settings>about, i see version 4.12.1. That’s what the GUI shows.
However, i will reinstall it , not a problem. Will see if there is a difference.
If you can recreate with the latest release, please post logs right after it happens.

ok, so i reinstalled Plexamp (it shows same version 4.12.1 in the About section) and things are better now; in 2 hours i experienced only one “track skip” problem, comparing with many more occurrences before reinstalling.
However, as i was saying, it still happens. i have attached logs with the last occurrence.

It looks like the log period covers three tracks playing. The first ends at about 201 seconds (which seems correct), and the second one ends at about 30 seconds, which I assume is the one ending prematurely.
Unfortunately you didn’t include enough of the log for me to see where that track was playing from; next time it happens, please include the full Plexamp logs.

And a fresh log from today, hapened at 13:42 timestamp in the logs.
I am trying to find a pattern to these occurrences, but it is very difficult; as far as i have noticed so far, they appear randomly but triggered somehow by different actions that i am doing on the computer (open a new browser tab, open a visio file, open an excel file, opening different files of whatever types, etc).
I am having the same issue. I am on Android, 4.12.1. It only happens with certain songs. With those songs it appears to skip to the next song at the exact same spot. I have verified the entire track is there. The rest of the track will continue playing as long as I start the song after that skipping point.
Post plexamp logs after playing that specific track.
not exactly the same problem; for me it does not happen with certain songs, but to any of them, and it skips to the next song always at its beginning, not other spot on it.

Having the same issue, upgraded from 4.12 to 4.12.1 today but problem persists. Logs are attached, a 2:57 track that I started at timestamp Apr 22, 2025 15:34:53.167 skipped about 30 seconds later at Apr 22, 2025 15:35:23.036. There might other auto-skips in here, but that was the one that I noticed,

OK, so this is an interesting example. The issue occurred in The Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock as best I can tell, where playback ended after about a minute for a 4 min track.
If you play that track again from downloads, does the issue reproduce?
Yup, just tried it and it does the same thing. The rest of the track is there. If I start the track at 1:05 it will play normally.
OK, cool! Thanks for the confirmation, I think I know what’s going on, and expect a fix for the next release.
