Plexamp iOS 4.7.4 - Cannot Listen Remotely; Transcoded Downloads do not work

I’ve been having trouble getting Plexamp to work lately when transcoding audio - my library is FLAC but I have it set to transcode when on cellular and when downloading. Playing audio on cellular gets me stuck in a loop of attempting to load the song, skipping to the next one, and rinse and repeat. Trying to download transcoded audio leaves the playlist icon at 55/55, but the icon beside the download button at the bottom of the screen decrements from 55.

I see CPU transcode threads starting on the server and network activity (~330 kB/s), but nothing to indicate it’s working in Plexamp. Downloading the FLAC files to Plexamp works, as does listening to FLAC over wifi, but transcoding is completely broken in my case. Reinstalling the app does nothing, nor does restarting the Plex server.

Plex Media Server, FreeBSD Jail:
plexmediaserver-plexpass-1.32.4.7164

Plexamp iOS, 4.7.4

Plex Media Server Logs_2023-06-24_14-12-10.zip (3.3 MB)
Plexamp-Logs-2023-06-24-1.zip (107.2 KB)

I see this error:

Jun 24, 2023 14:10:55.075 [0x6f54b000] INFO - Cache: Network error (-56) occurred, we might want to kick off recovery (still 0 bytes in network buffer).

That is this curl error:

CURLE_RECV_ERROR (56)

Failure with receiving network data.

The server logs look fine, so likely the issue is between your phone and the server. Have proxy or anything like that?

I don’t have a proxy or anything like that set up - though I just tried with the official Plex app with the same result - TV Shows and Music doesn’t load, so I guess this isn’t Plexamp specific. I’ll investigate it further on the network side since the server logs look good

I reset the network interface for the FreeBSD jail and and it’s working again. Super strange how direct plays worked but transcoding didn’t.
