I just added a new library of music to my PMS. A lot of it is poorly tagged DJ mixes. When I navigate to that Library in Plexamp on my phone, and view the library by Folders, there seems to be no way to download tracks to my iPhone.
I am able to download the same tracks when viewing by Artist, Album, etc, just not when browsing by Folder. Is this a bug, or a purposeful limitation? It is certainly very inconvenient.
As an aside, I tagged the files using MusicBrainz Picard, but rescanning the library refused to pick up on the newly embedded tags until I changed the modification dates of the audio files in addition to tagging them, even when I removed that folder from the library and re-added it. I wish there were a way to tell Plex “hey seriously, please look closely at these files that you don’t think have changed because I’m telling you, they are changed”.
