Plexamp (iOS & Windows) missing albums, but they ARE in my library. How can I fix this?

Server Version#: 1.31.3.6868
Player Version#: 4.6.3 iOS, 4.6.2 Windows

My Plexamp apps on both iOS and Windows are missing albums which ARE listed in my server library. How do I go about troubleshooting and fixing this?

I’ll use 1 artist for now, David Arkenstone.

  1. I’ve already verified my metadata which is consistent across all 63 albums and populated per Plex instructions.
  2. All of my albums have correct metadata (year, etc.), validated against music databases.
  3. The Albums section in the apps lists only 30 out of 63 albums.
  4. Singles, soundtracks, etc. sections list an add’l 8 albums, none of which are listed in the Albums section.

How do I get Plexamp to correctly show ALL of an artist’s albums?

Bonus: How do I get the player to NOT show separate sections in the Artists window, i.e. albums only and not split into singles, EPs, compilations, etc.?

PS I think I may have found a workaround: the tiny right-arrow icon next to “ALBUMS. …”, tapping it lists all albums correctly. So it appears that only the main screen is incapable of showing desired albums.

Sorry Im not really clear. Only Plex amp does not show all albums, others like the Web app in browser do? so they were scanned in by server

disabling EPs and such is in the server library settings

Aye, all scanned by server and showing in the web app, just not in Plexamp, though I found that “right arrow” icon on the Albums … line which–on the next screen–shows all albums. So it seems that Plexamp IS seeing all the albums, it just only shows the 1st 30. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

BTW, you ROCK on that Library setting! I had no idea a music-only setting would be there, but it kinda makes sense looking back. Sort of a “you have to know the answer before you can ask the right question” I made the setting changes and voila! they’re showing correctly…or at least the 1st 30. :rage: Not your fault, obviously, probably some dev probably thought, “30 ought to be enough for everyone…after all, 256KB of RAM is good enough for everyone, right?”
