Plexamp – no bluetooth audio – MacOS

I just downloaded Plexamp to give it a try on my Macbook Pro. I’m experiencing a weird issue I’ve never seen before: I cannot control the audio output or volume!

I have my audio output defaulted to my bluetooth headphones, all other audio from my machine comes through my headphones, including Plex Media Player. When I launch Plexamp, that stream outputs to either my laptop or cinema display but not my headphones. No matter what I try I cannot get it to play through my headphones. On top of that, my volume controls don’t change the level that Plexamp outputs to my laptop/display speakers. It’s very strange and I’m wondering if anyone else is having similar issues?

I’m super excited to try out Plexamp, so hopefully there is an easy fix!

I use Bose wireless headphones and am running MacOS 10.12.6

At the moment, Plexamp plays to whatever output is active at the time of the app starting. (We’ll be allowing “following” output to allow for plugging in headphones, e.g.)

The system volume controls should change the volume, as we’re simply outputting to the system device. This doesn’t work for some DACs, which is why we’re also planning to add a “soft” volume setting as well.

Thanks for the reply! Maybe it was user error, but the issue is gone now. I am now happily using Plexamp as my primary music player. Thanks so much for building this!
