PlexAmp normal grid size truncates aggressively

The “normal” grid size truncates artist/album names way too aggressively, e.g. “Franz Ferdinand” in the attached becomes “Fran…”, while some longer artists (e.g. “Frameshift”) are meaningfully displayed. “Green Carnation” becomes “Gree…”, “The Inconsolable Secret” becomes “Th…” but “The Shaming of the True” at least stays “The Shaming…”. So truncation is not simply based on character count but something else…

I’m not sure how to do this right but I hope it can be done better!

With what version of Plexamp and on what platform are you seeing this?
I’ve just double-checked on Plexamp v3.4.5 on both my desktop and iOS… and while I can see names getting truncated, it seems to be much less aggressive

I’m seeing near identical truncation to OP on Plexamp v3.4.5 under Android 11 on Pixel 4a, complete with ‘Franz Ferdinand’ truncated to ‘Fran…’.

On Plexamp v3.4.5 under Windows ‘Franz Ferdinand’ is truncated to ‘Franz Ferdin…’.

Grid Size is set to Normal in both instances.

Indeed it’s Android 11, PlexAmp 3.4.5 on a Pixel 5. Foo Fighters looks good for me too

Fixed in the next release.

Plexamp on Android is also following the system-wide defined font size.
You might want to experiment with that as well.

This indeed fixed it - thanks!

thanks for noticing!
