When searching in PlexAmp, the top of the text is being cut off

This is one of those times where a picture really is worth 1,000 words. Here you go:

Anyone else experience this? I’m pretty sure the app has always done this for me, but its always been such a small thing that I never felt ot worth bringing up, but since it hasn’t been fixed yet, I figured it was about time I brought it up so it could finally be stomped out. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s a video of me showing this issue off a little bit by dragging the text around: https://streamable.com/06nv4n

not an issue in the latest iOS version

That kind of makes sense because iOS devices are much more similar to each other compared to Android devices.

I’m using a Samsung S10e, by the way.

I made all teh android bigly and i can’t reproduce. custom font? some other setting i’m not aware of?

These are my settings:

I’m not sure what would be causing this, to be honest. I’m not using any custom fonts, so.

Okay, I just figured something out. I tried switching between a few other stock fonts and that made no difference a all. So I decided to make my font size bigger, and it seems that PlexAmp has an issue with smaller font sizes because after I increased my device font size it now looks how it should. Ideally, PlexAmp would work with the smallest font size that Android allows. I’m sure that’s different on various devices, but the Samsung size limit seems like one of the important ones to take into account when figuring out how small of font sizes you have to take into account. Now we just have to find out what the smallest UI font sizes allowed on other popular Android devices to find a decent benchmark of how small of fonts people are using on their phones. I would guess that 12sp would be a good goal to try and get it working well with, since that’s a pretty common small font size.

should have a fix for the next release.
