New Plexamp user and I noticed on my Galaxy S25 the now playing notification on the Android Now bar does not update the track title when the song changes unless I interact with it. This is on local playback as well as Bluetooth. I have made sure that all permissions are enabled and Plexamp is excluded from all battery optimizations. This is on Android 15 and Plexamp 4.12.0.

Any chance of this getting addressed? Frustrating especially in the car when wanting to see the name of the track playing.
Yes, I have gone through every setting and have disabled all battery optimizations and made sure Plexamp was excluded. I have also tested with two other media player apps and the issue does NOT occur. So it seems like it could be something related to Plexamp itself.
Happy to share any other info needed to assist with debugging.
Yes, I went through all of those with no luck. The only thing I found is the Samsung Good Lock app with the LockStar plugin. I was able to add a Plexamp widget to the lock screen and then make it 100% transparent so it disappears. Now the media player in the Now Bar updates on track changes. Seems pretty clunky…but it works I guess.
Spotify and Pulsar did not need this and their bar updates no problem.
Update: looks like that workaround above did not work. The track titles still do not update. The only thing that seems to work is if I have Plexamp open before screen shuts off/locks.
