Stale track metadata on music widget on lock screen

So I’ve noticed for awhile now Plexamp isn’t keeping current with the music display on the Android “now playing” notification widget. It will continue to display the info for previous songs. Like I’m listening to a remix of Coldplay’s “Clocks” and it’s showing the info for the previous track. I notice this happening most when I pull my phone out of my pocket to skip a track from the Lock Screen. Here I took a screenshot of Plexamp and then immediately opened the notifications, so the phone has been unlocked and Plexapp has been brought to the foreground, but it still has not updated the Android system notification:

I do notice the playback progress bar on the widget is keeping current with the (current) track progress, it’s just the wrong cover and song info.

This appears to be an Androidism usually related to energy/battery saving. Make sure Plexamp is running unrestricted.

Interesting. I haven’t made any settings changes lately but Plexamp was on “Optimized” power mode. I changed it to the “Unrestricted” setting and will see how it goes. Thanks!

I’m having the same issue, and setting the battery setting to unrestricted doesn’t fix it. I did have this same issue with Symfonium, but with that, setting battery to unrestricted did fix it.

EDIT: Oh, and it isn’t just on the lock screen. The small PlexAmp player from the top drop down menu will have this problem.

Same here. And I can confirm that this is an issue that started relatively recently.
