Plexamp Offline Library Functionality

The way Plexamp currently handles downloaded media is very strange, it basically functions as a totally separate library and interface. It would be ideal to have Plexamp integrate downloaded media into your library, and then engage an “offline mode” when no connection is available, which uses the same interface but only displaying downloaded media.

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option for Plexamp to access/use downloaded media from within the regular user interface (e.g. displaying/limiting the regular libraryview to downloaded content). Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

Local-mode only

As our mobile devices contain more and more storage, people download many albums to their devices to take on the road. When you travel, either on the airplane or maybe remote roads, cellular signal availability is diminished or none. One BIG missing feature is the ability to instruct the application to play only downloaded music - call it local mode. Or even better solution would be that the app should be smart enough to detect this condition. At this point app functions like Albums, Artists etc…
