Phone: Google Pixel 3a
Whenever I play music in PlexAmp through Android Auto, after about 15 minutes, PlexAmp causes the entire Android Auto interface to hard-freeze.
Sometimes music continues to play while the display remains frozen. Sometimes the music also freezes. PlexAmp is the only app that has this behavior.
It’s been like this for at least a month…
It’s really weird because in theory that should be impossible for an app to do that, but I’ve heard a few reports, so there must be something to do…
What would be super useful is if you could try a few previous versions and see if the issue was a change we made, or due to an Android Auto update.
Willing to lend a hand to see if we can figure it out? 
Can do. Reverted down to 3.4.1… we’ll see how this goes…
Both my wife and I have been having the same issues described above. Was a solution found for this? We are both running Pixel 3 and 3xl’s. Running android auto on a 2018 CRV head unit.
From what I’ve read, it appears to affect other apps too, and is likely a bug inside Android Auto itself.
For what it’s worth, 3.4.1 downloaded from APKMirror hasn’t given me any problems. Though, admittedly, I haven’t had a ton of opportunity to test it.
