Since a few updates back my Plexamp has stopped displaying album art. At first it was just art from recently added albums but after a reinstall I’m missing art for my whole library.
I only see this on Plexamp, all the art is visible if I go into the normal Plex app. There still seems to be some information present since I can see the blurry color gradients for some albums.
the blurry things are “BlurHash” which is stored in the database, it doesn’t need artwork directly.
almost certainly there’s something bad going on with your server, and if other apps are showing art it’s likely they’re just cached. but a log might show more.
Thing is I’m still seeing art elsewhere for recently added albums.
This also isn’t affecting Plexamp on Android or MacOS, seems to limited to just PlexAmp on Windows…
But in any case, please let me know if there’s anything in my logs that would be revealing.
If you can share your Plexamp.log, there might be something revealing in there.

there was! looks like the app is having trouble writing the image files to disk, perhaps some sort of disk permissions issue or full drive?
Great! My drive still has plenty of room so it’s probably the permissions then. Is there any particular directory that I should be opening up the permissions on?
Any news on this? I’ve attempted to disable firewalls and checked directory permissions to no avail.
