Plexamp On Windows Playing Wrong Deleted FLAC file

I replaced some FLAC files with better quality FLAC files. However, Plexamp still plays the lower quality files even though the old versions were removed from my server.

I tried uninstalling Plexamp (for Windows) and reinstalling but that did not resolve the issue.

How can I inform Plexamp that it needs to play the new version of the files?

try clearing any cached files (Plexamp settings – playback – caching – delete caches)

Thanks for the idea. I deleted the cache but the issue persists. Appreciate the reply.

Why do you think it’s playing the wrong file?

If it’s not in the cache, it’s playing what the server is giving it, so distinguish between those two possibilities.

Something happened when I created the original file, which caused the sound to become “noisy.” Literally, painful to the ears. So I re-ripped the file. The second one sounds fine.

I deleted the original from the server. When I play the file using the plex web interface it sounds fine. But in Plexamp the original “noisy” file still plays. It’s truly odd.
